HUMAX 9300T software updates. The Application version were I to purchase the necessary equipment and follow the update procedure using a PC download. May 12, 2011 Update HUMAX 5400 gladiator sssp plugins V2.0 [Cccamd & Newcamd]. Started by powercisco, 19:36:42 5 Pages. I am having serious problems with my 9200T such as the box freezing up, recordings failing to stop (on Friday a programme recorded for 11 hours rather than 1) and scheduled recordings dropping off the list. I came back from holiday in April to find that as the unit failed to stop recording, the rest of my scheduled programmes didn't record. I have contacted Humax over the past 2 months and the reply I keep getting is that a software update is being worked on for this model, yet their later models have had updates. For those of you considering buying a Humax PVR I would seriuously reconsider when this is how they treat their customers. I have bought two 9200T's costing over £400, and now I have to keep looking to see if a programme is recording and switching the unit off at the mains to unfreeze the box. This is not good! Click to expand.I quite agree. BETA versions of attempted fixes have been around since November 2009, and since then the over the air (OTA) update to fix the problems has always been arriving in a couple of weeks! The BETA software can only be applied using a serial cable (remember them?) so isn't a practical exercise for most people who will have no choice but to wait for the transmitted update. Humax PR trying to stop the bad publicity got involved with statements on their Facebook page saying an over the air update would be available in a matter of weeks (for the month of May) That has since not happened and they are back to issuing BETA firmware to the lucky people that actually get a reply from their support email address. The last BETA fix that did work resulted in the EPG loading slower, so really was just shifting the problem elsewhere, so they are now attempting to cache the EPG to the hard-drive so you don't have to wait when you first turn on. A new BETA with this functionality is being issued, again if you are lucky enough to ever get a response from their support email address, I never have.
